The MSW program prepares students to function as advanced-level practitioners in the human services. The foundation curriculum addresses the acquisiton of knowledge, skills, values, and ethics that comprise generalist social work practice. Upon the required foundation rests curricula programs which provide for the development of in depth specialized knowledge and skills that prepare students for autonomous practice at an advanced level in one of two skill concentrations: Community Organization and Social Administration and Direct Practice with Individuals, Families and Small Groups. As part of the MSW program a Home and School Visitor (i.e., school social worker) certification program is available as are other certificate programs. The school offers several Dual, Joint and Cooperative Degree programs.
